BOOMLOT starts as the game you expect and becomes the game you didn’t.

The loop

It’s a 3v3 lot brawl with a three-minute clock. You and two bots against a crew of three. Place bombs, detonate them, and wipe the other crew — or hold the most lives when the clock runs out.

The lot isn’t neutral

Beyond the black bombs, the plaza hands out charges that change what a fight is. Cyan freezes. Purple shoves. There are shields to grab and mushrooms that make you huge. So a straight bomb fight becomes a question of what you’re holding when someone walks into you — freeze them and the fight is over; shove them and the fight is somewhere else.

It’s a game about positioning with an escape hatch. You’re never truly locked out of a fight, because the lot keeps handing out ways to change it. And because it’s 3v3 with bots, you can learn the whole thing before you ever play against a human.
