Everything smaller is food

You’re a hole in a boxed arena. Anything smaller than you falls in and makes you bigger. Anything bigger than you swallows you instead. That’s the whole ruleset, and it produces a game that changes shape every thirty seconds.

Early on everyone is hunting for easy meals and the arena is friendly. By the last thirty seconds there are two or three enormous players left and the map has become genuinely frightening. Eight players, no teams, no mercy.
